STEP ONE - Rescue Book Journals with Diana Trout

I am participating in another online class given by Mixed Media Artist Diana Trout.  I am pretty excited to be a part of the class.  I took some pics of my book inside and outside - but forgot to take one of the before.  I had a little problem when I took out the block and sliced the spine so I had to repair the outside.  I used some textured wall paper and colored it with Viva Decor Inka-Gold.  I got some really good pva glue on line at John Neal Bookseller - it works great.

Inside - Spine is old Stampin Up! velvet paper in

 Night of Navy.  End pages are from Stampin Up! Designer Series Paper "Paisley Petals".  The blues all work together.

PPA118-Celebrity Color Challenge



I adore this birdy! Young Vermillion (124092).  The colors, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, and River Rock lead into a cozy fall expression.  Autumn Splendor (116503) expresses this season of nature and its wonders.

We recently took a bicycling tour with Classic Adventures to the island of Crete.  We had a wonderful time.  While on a hike one day we were finding little treasures on the beach.  So, I made this pair of earrings for Sarah Hart, one of the tour guides.  I think the earrings turned out as beautiful as she is.

Mixed Media Collage

I've started an Art Journal and experimenting with the art form of collage.  I am learning.  I think this entry still needs some work along the lines of de-cluttering and composition - but I like it just the same.

Polymer Clay and Mixed Media Mosaic

I love to bicycle.  This bicycle themed Mosaic expresses some of my passion for bicycling.  This is my first try at creating a Mosaic. I've used paper clay, glass tiles, polymer clay,  image transfers on polymer clay, stamping into clay, acrylic paints, polymer clay canes, paper, plastic and glass beads.
